A Renaissance Songbook performed at Beacon Hill

Pocono Record, 6/24/11 -” Parthenia, a quartet of viols, and tenor Ryland Angel, accompanied by lutenist Daniel Swenberg, will be performing “A Renaissance Song Book,” an intimate collection of early European art songs that leads listeners through the private chambers of Renaissance life and love at 4 p.m. Saturday at Beacon Hill in Stroudsburg.”

“Angel, tenor/countertenor, has sung title roles with leading conductors on the international stage, including Lincoln Center with Kent Tritle; Paris, Leipzig and Toulouse with Christophe Rousset; Paris, New York and London with William Christie; and Les Arts Florissants; Messiah at St. Thomas Church, NYC, directed by John Scott.
