Baroque Masters-Concert at Saint Thomas Church in New York

January 12, 2014

You are cordially invited to a one of a kind concert, Baroque Masters, where I get to sing one of my favorite pieces by Purcell, Tis natures’ voice.  This event will take a place on Thursday, January 30 @ 7:30 pm at Saint Thomas Church (Main Hall) in New York City.

Noted Early Music specialist Richard Egarr, Music Director of The Academy of Ancient Music, Cambridge, England, joins us in this collaboration with Juilliard’s period-instrument ensemble, with Robert Mealy as the director.  Richard Egarr and John Scott will conduct The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys and Juilliard415 in a program featuring Purcell’s Hail! Bright Cecilia and two of Handel’s four Coronation Anthems, Zadok the Priest and The King Shall Rejoice. The program also includes Handel’s Water Music, Suite No. 2 in D major. With vocal soloists, Nicolette Mavroleon, soprano, Ryland Angel and Jeffrey Freuler, countertenors, Nathan Haller and James Kennerley, tenors, and Elliott Hines and Kurt Kanazawa, baritones, listeners can expect a delightful evening of entertainment.
