Freud Und Lust Album Cover

September 2, 2011

I am really excited about my soon to be released album “Freud Und Lust” with the Holy Trinity Bach Players, which was also directed by Rick Erickson.  All the composers on this program worked in important centers of Lutheran music in seventeenth and eighteenth-century Germany.  Neither women nor castrati typically performed in Lutheran churches at this time, so countertenors usually sang the alto parts in church music.  Thought I would give you a look at the album cover.

Brockes Passion

April 19, 2011

On Sunday, April 10th, I had a delightful time singing Brockes Passion with the NYC Holy Trinity Bach Choir and Bach Players, under the direction of Rick Erickson.

My next project with Rick and the Bach Players is a CD  with music by Buxtehude and Bach, called “Freud und Lust”, in which I perform a solo cantata.  The CD will be released by Deux Elles Records in the near future – keep an eye out for it!
